Nice stuff. Your outfit looks good. If I was the Orc I’d probably have considered some face paint (to cover the chin area, so the entire face is same colour green) and maybe thin green gloves too. I’ve always been interested in Roman use of plumbata: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plumbata I suppose, as it is a large heavy dart which is thrown, I can see why you might not want to include it in LARP - as a potential safety issue. He brought out face paint but it was too hot. It would have sweated off in no time. Some day I want to make a plumbata. We have javelins in our game. I suspect I can make a plumbata like a mini javelin
Yeah - I did think that green paint on the hands would make for a rather slippery grip, and then a sweaty face would be the least of his problems. Obviously Florida is considerably warmer than the UK at this time of year (most of the year TBH). I’ve seen a few YouTube’s about the plumbata and I believe the “underarm” thrown would be most effective. 😉
